The room had a wonderful view, and I had a very peaceful, relaxing night. The women at the front desk who helped me check in were incredibly welcoming and helpful.

The staff were friendly and dealt with the ants quickly. Unfortunately, our room wasn’t very clean when we arrived, and there were food scraps under the bed. We also found spider eggs and webs beneath the bed and dressers, and the last night was a sleepless nightmare.

It’s a beautiful spot overlooking Lugano, surrounded by nature. You can use the kitchen, and coffee costs €1. It is quite noisy, though. At €80 per room without breakfast, you can’t really complain. Small but perfectly formed, and we might visit again if we return to Carona.

The staff were good, but the rooms weren’t very clean when we arrived. There were lots of ants, spiders, and spider eggs. The last night was a nightmare, and I barely slept.
