Hotel Lido Seegarten

The only real downside for me was the lack of complimentary water in the room. At the price, I’d expected some, but there was only bottled water in the minibar. Parking takes a 5-10 min walk, and the lovely staff helped explain the parking options, which cost 30 euros per day. The hotel is one of the few in Lugano directly on the lake, and you pay a premium for that. Our recently refurbished room was modern, and the lake view looked just like the pictures. Breakfast was very good. The pool is nice, though not too large and, as you’d expect, busy with other guests. It’s also nice to have direct access to the lake for swimming from the pool area. I saw equipment for SUP but didn’t try it.

We stayed as a family with our children and will be back. The hotel has a lovely old style, with beautiful decorative touches and friendly staff. There’s a pool with great views and a place to jump into the lake. The food was good, and the location was great, about a 10 minute walk to the centre with some good attractions nearby.

My room was nice and had everything I needed. The hotel is right on the lake, with a nice pool and access to the water. It’s about a 15 minute walk from the city center, or just a couple of bus stops away.

The lake view really does the talking here. The rooms are pricey and don't have much of a wow factor, but the pool area is lovely, with loungers and plenty of free gear like canoes and stand-up paddle boards. Breakfast felt rushed: right at 10, they shut the doors even though guests were still sitting on the terrace, then collected menus and cleared tables.
