The balcony and mountain views are absolutely stunning. The scenery, the atmosphere, and the views are unbeatable, and the food is great too. If you get the chance to eat here, take it.

We tried the lake fish, which was outstanding, and the risotto was delicious too. The balcony has breathtaking views, and the restaurant is remarkable. The manager welcomed us wonderfully, and the whole team was warm and hospitable. Service matched the meal, and we finished with a few desserts. An excellent dining experience.

The location by the lake in a gated old town is beautiful, and the service was good. There's no parking at the restaurant, so you have to walk down from public parking, a good 10 to 15 minutes. I expected authentic local cooking from what I found while searching, but it seemed more geared toward tourists. The dishes had good flavor but were much too salty, and the non-seasonal dish wasn't fresh. The walk down and back up wasn't worth it.

Locanda Gandriese made for an amazing experience. Sitting right on the lake, the restaurant has breathtaking scenery and a magical, fairytale atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Everything felt perfect, from the waiter to the setting, and dinner became a memory I'll never forget.

The food was top notch and the service was great. The lakeside atmosphere in Switzerland is hard to beat. The downside is getting there, since parking is limited and far away. Bring French francs for the parking, as it doesn't accept euros.
