The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The location is convenient, with two bus stops within 50m and the beach close enough to walk to, though the street is fairly busy and might bother some people. The room was acceptable, if the bed wasn't the most comfortable. There's a small kitchen corner that could work well for a longer, budget-friendly stay.

Getting to the center takes just one bus ride, and you could walk if you felt like it. There's a vending machine, plus a cafe and restaurant only a few steps away. The room was okay, though the bathroom was cramped, especially the shower. It was almost hard to move around in there.

I can't recommend this place. The room and location were fine, but it wasn't cleaned well, with hair left on the floor. The key handover was confusing too, since the apartment actually belongs to Lugano Guest House, which wasn't mentioned in the booking.com listing. My main concern is the 250 CHF deposit. After checkout, they kept 50 CHF, saying the bedsheets were stained and ripped. We stayed just ONE NIGHT and only used the bed to sleep, so that claim seems unlikely. I asked several times for photos, clearer details, or other proof, but they couldn't provide any. They sent daily requests for feedback but didn't answer important messages. They only replied after I said I would contact Booking.com and described this as possible scamming. The experience left Lugano Guest House feeling unreliable and potentially dishonest. Threatening to make police reports over a Google review, instead of being transparent, only adds to my concern about how deposits are handled. I stand by what I wrote. I'm not trying to harm your business, just warn future guests about an experience that felt unprofessional and untrustworthy. Verifiable proof would have settled this. Once registered with Ticino, guests can get free bus ticket(s) during their stay at the GuestHouse. The place is on bus routes #2 and #4, about 1.4 km from the train station, with easy access to the lake. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
