The restaurants are good, especially if you're after a fine meal with great wines. We had a lovely lunch and a fondue dinner, both good quality, with competent, friendly service. We'd meant to book the hotel Post in Sils for the Nietzsche presentation and the house where he used to live. It must have been full, and at first we didn't notice we'd booked the hotel Pöstli in Maloya instead. We also hadn't realized our hotel and the Hotel Schweizerhaus were a joint venture. Reception and the restaurants, including breakfast, are in the Hotel Schweizerhof across the street, which is a little inconvenient. Our room was spacious, clean and nicely heated. The sauna and gym are conveniently in our hotel. There's an elevator and uncovered parking at the side.

The surroundings were lovely, and my room was clean. I stayed three nights and really enjoyed it. The staff were welcoming, breakfast was good, and the hotel had a lot of facilities. Highly recommended!

After eight days on the Bernina Trek with my wife and our two dogs, it was great to get back to Hotel Schweizerhaus and finally relax. The dogs were comfortable too, and I felt completely at ease leaving them to rest in the room. Dénes welcomed us warmly from our first contact. His local tips and recommendations were really useful on the hike. At dinner we met Krisztián, who served us, and later we had a great chat with both him and Dénes at the bar. The circular hike started and ended at the hotel, and the whole experience was excellent. Highly recommended!

Everything we ate was delicious, and the service was accommodating with my picky tastes. There are lots of vegetarian options. I loosened up a little on being vegan while I was there. I didn't stay at the hotel, so I can't review the rooms.

We enjoyed the breakfast, and the staff were lovely. The hotel itself is quite pleasant, and our family room was spacious and clean. But it was really, really dated, with a strange office-like false ceiling that wiped out the alpine charm. It looked like it hadn't been fully renovated in 50 years. For a place advertising itself as 4-star, getting that room was a total buzzkill. I'd check carefully which room you're booking.
