Bed & Breakfast Sonne Interlaken-Matten

Those coffee, tea, chocolate, and biscuit treats in the room were a lovely touch, and I appreciated the vegan shampoo and shower gel as well. My room at Hotel Sonne was peaceful and cozy, with a great bed, thoughtful design, and spotless, comfortable surroundings. From check-in, the team was welcoming, professional, and always available. The quality felt consistently high throughout, and this was one of my best stays. I’d happily return.

We were happy with how easy the late check-in was, thanks to the accommodating staff. The room had what we needed, including a coffee machine, hair dryer, and standing fan, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was very clean too. It felt like a safe area, with a few bus stops close by and a reasonable walk to either train station. We’d stay here again.

The food was amazing, with pure vegetarian dishes and Jain options catered for beautifully. At Hotel Sonne in Matten, the rooms were comfortable and well maintained, and the staff welcomed us so warmly from the moment we arrived that we felt like family. The hospitality was exceptional throughout. We’ll definitely come back.

A big Coop supermarket is just a three-minute walk away, and the bus stop right in front is handy. With the free guest card, we could ride the buses for free. The hotel is a bit far from the city center, and the street is noisy, with lots of cars and a loud cafe on the corner. But the windows are so well insulated that we heard nothing in our room. We had a great mountain view straight from the balcony, and the rooms were well equipped. The lady and man at reception greeted us with lovely smiles, which made a great first impression. I loved my stay.
