Hotel Rebstock

Check-in was smooth, and the staff at reception were polite, professional and easy to talk to. The place felt organized and friendly from the start, which gave the stay a positive tone.

Save your money and stay elsewhere. This was a disaster over five days. Our room was never cleaned during the entire stay. I attached a photo of the overflowing trash bin. For a three-star hotel, I expected daily service, but there was none. The so-called ski room was an unheated, cluttered storage space with old tires and tables. The owner said the heating only came on at night, but it never did. Our equipment stayed cold and damp. We had half-board, but there was no choice of dishes. They served one spicy option and didn't ask about our preferences. One evening they wouldn't serve us until our tour organizer stepped in. Dinner was often frozen chicken nuggets and one scoop of tasteless ice cream. The hotel doesn't serve alcohol, which is fine, but calling it an "Islamic Hotel" isn't mentioned in the name "Rebstock" or the website descriptions. That felt misleading for guests expecting a traditional Swiss experience. When I insisted on getting a receipt for my tourist tax, the staff became hostile and eventually told me they shouldn't have let me in. That was truly unprofessional. I'd recommend paying a little more for a real hotel in Meiringen.

The staff were professional, polite and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is very well located, about a two-minute walk from the train station, with beautiful mountain viewpoints nearby that are easy to reach for enjoying nature.

A convenient place to stay, with friendly, helpful staff who make you feel welcome. Stunning mountain viewpoints are very close, so it's easy to go for a walk and enjoy the scenery. A top spot for nature, good vibes and convenience.
