On my trip home to Bavaria from Milan Airport, it was so hot that I looked for a hotel with a pool and air conditioning. This small family-run Hotel Riviera has a tiny pool, but the lake more than made up for it. The clear, warm water was lovely for a swim, and breakfast on the terrace right by the lake was a treat. My room was very comfortable, and the extra cost for a lakeside room with a gorgeous view was worth it. The staff and owners were really nice. I'll definitely be back.

The terrace with direct lake access was a highlight, and the hotel's restaurant also looks out over the water. It's a lovely family-run place in a great location, with renovated, spacious rooms and wonderful lake views. A nice choice for couples or families, highly recommended.

The swimming and sunbathing platform is fantastic, the best in Melide. Staff were polite and helpful when our AC stopped working: they fixed it quickly and gave us free drinks while we waited. Parking beside the hotel is free but limited to one hour on weekdays. With a note from the hotel, you can park a couple of hundred meters away.

We'd definitely stay at Riviera Hotel again. The staff were all lovely, from reception and housekeeping to the restaurant. One of the restaurant staff even brought coffee to our room so we could enjoy the sunny weather on the terrace. We visited in autumn, so the outdoor pool wasn't open, but the restaurant view was amazing. Our terrace room overlooking the lake was worth choosing: very clean, with a fully renovated toilet, brand-new towels, a TV, a minibar with just water, and excellent internet. There are several parking options, for 5 or 10CHF per night depending on availability, or free parking a few blocks away. Great service and good value.

The service at Riviera Hotel felt full of passion, and the staff were friendly and smiling, including the dining team. Luisi and Arlene were especially helpful and welcoming. A wonderful family-run hotel, with a beautiful view and a great location.
