A year later, we still remember how kindly the manager helped us when we were in trouble in S. Bernardino. We had stopped there unexpectedly because I was exhausted, dehydrated, and suddenly feverish. My wife was frightened and desperate, and it seemed we might need to call an ambulance, but I recovered enough over the night. After service in the evening, the manager brought us hot water and black tea, then checked in the next morning to ask if I was feeling better. I couldn't really take in my surroundings at the time, but the rooms were lovely, with fresh air and beautiful views. We haven't forgotten his kindness, and want to thank him for helping my wife through such a stressful situation. Fingers crossed for him, and wishing him many happy guests. Ľubo and Zuzka Slovakia

We paid 84€ at lunchtime for three plates of burnt frozen lasagne and five soft drinks. Food at those prices is a rip-off. We have lived in Switzerland and still didn't expect this on a short return visit. Keep driving and wait until Italy.

The roads around here are some of the best anywhere, and the views are just as good. The location also works well as a stop before or after touring the area, and there's garage storage for all kinds of vehicles.

Service was zero, really nothing at all. Still, if you're staying in San Bernardino, there aren't many other options.
