Chromotel

The online booking was really easy, and I liked getting into the hotel and room with a QR code instead of a key or card. Self check-in and check-out worked well, and the Wi-Fi was good. The room was clean, with a nice terrace, and the shower was OK. Still, there was no AC, ventilation was poor, and the two fans in the room were noisy. The room could use some painting, and both the bed and pillows could be improved. Fine for a one-night stop.

As a concept, it's OK, but it still needs work. I can't say I'd recommend it. Maybe it's acceptable for one night in an emergency, but the high price doesn't feel justified when there aren't employees working there 24/24. The AC doesn't work, and it's noisy whether the window is open or closed, though we put up with it with the window shut. The room isn't maintained to the requirements; I understand standards are low in Switzerland, but the experience still doesn't justify it.

We really liked the newly designed room. It was spacious and had mountain views. Check-in was kind of a nightmare, though everything else was perfect.

The house's architecture was interesting, and the place was clean. The rooms felt very sterile, though, with furniture that looked cheap. I didn't have any cash or coins with me, and the snack and coffee vending machines in the basement only took cash.
