Hotel Eden Palace Au Lac

The lake view is breathtaking, and the hotel sits right at the water's edge in a perfect location. It feels like an old palace, with care put into everything from the entrance and rooms to the breakfast buffet. This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. If you want to feel like a princess, book it. I'll definitely come back.

I wouldn't feel comfortable staying here again. On my first day, I came back to my room and found my perfume had clearly been moved, and my makeup brush was gone. That immediately made me question the security and privacy of my things. When I told the staff, they were dismissive and unprofessional. They didn't properly look into it, offered me a toothbrush, which had nothing to do with the problem, and asked if I was sure I'd left the item in the room. They made it feel like my fault instead of taking responsibility or showing real concern. That lack of accountability and basic customer care is unacceptable. I'd strongly advise others to think again before booking.

The hotel is right on Lake Geneva, with a beautiful view, and it's a comfortable distance from the noise while still being convenient for the Montreux Christmas market. It's also not too far from the train station, so I'd recommend it. The room was fine, though a bit expensive for its size and view. Breakfast was disappointing for the price.

We had a lake-facing room with a fantastic view, and the balcony made it even nicer. The double-door entrance to the room was unusual. Eden Palace au Lac is in a great spot, just a short walk from the train station. We stayed for two nights.
