Hotel Parc & Lac

A good value if you don't want to spend $$$. The hotel has a quaint feel, and the halls and rooms are tastefully decorated with art. My room and bed were clean and nice, though some furniture seemed a little dated. I stayed one night and left early, so I didn't have breakfast. I couldn't find my reservation at self check-in, but a very friendly woman helped me and entered my details.

The rates aren't bad by Swiss standards, and my lake-side room was small but clean and well equipped. The location is excellent, and the view from at least the lake-side rooms is great. Thanks for giving me one facing the lake.

I called about booking rooms for an upcoming corporate event and got no clear information about availability. There was no willingness to help or look for possible solutions, and the tone was dismissive. I was arranging accommodation for a management meeting and expected at least a basic level of courtesy and service. The call fell well below that and the professionalism I'd expect from the establishment. I hope this feedback is considered and future conversations with potential guests are handled more helpfully and professionally.

The room had useful amenities, including soft towels, a kettle, tea and coffee, and a hair dryer. The receptionist was very friendly too. The main problem was the portable air conditioner: even in the small room it couldn't cool things down, and it was unbearably hot and hard to sleep. Thankfully, I was there for just one night. There's no laundry in the building either, so you'd need to send it out in the morning if you want it done. Parc et Lac is right in front of Lake Geneva and only a few minutes' walk from Montreux train station. You do have to take the stairs or elevator down to the street below to reach the hotel.
