Restaurant-Hotel Seeblick

We celebrated my grandma’s birthday upstairs on the first floor, where the big terrace has a stunning view across the lake. It’s a very nice restaurant, and the food was excellent.

The food keeps bringing me back, even when I'm staying somewhere else in Switzerland. The perch from the lake is a must for me on visits here, and Seeblick does it really well. Their meat is excellent too, especially the phenomenal chateaubriand. After a long day, sitting outside with a beer or wine and watching the sailboats is a real treat when the weather's good. I've stayed at this hotel several times over well over a decade, and eaten at the restaurant even more often. The Engel family and staff always make me feel at home. It's easy to reach by train or car, and the lake view is wonderful. My rooms have always been clean and fresh. One thing to know is that WiFi is only available in the restaurant. In your room, you can use an ethernet cable with a laptop or bring a mobile plug-in hotspot. I find that a minor inconvenience given the quality, service, and value. Speaking only English has never been a problem. There are several good hotels in the area, but Seeblick stands out largely because of Silvia Engel's hospitality. I'm glad to give the hotel and Mrs. Engel my business, and I'm looking forward to staying again.

That view is spectacular, and the service was even better. The food was super delicious too. I really enjoyed my time there. 👏

The lake view is beautiful, and the service was great. Ask for Felix, he was flawless. But the Grapparisotto was the real standout, by far the best I've ever had.
