I've been invited to Benichon repeatedly for decades, though I'm not from Gruyère. The Sunday menu is a ritual, but usually a bit too heavy for my taste, so I was especially pleased with this superb version of the traditional meal. The soup was exceptionally delicious, the Moutarde de Benichon rich and creamy, and the ham tender without being too salty. The cheese selection was top quality, and so was everything else. This was the best Benichon menu I've ever had. The service was friendly and impeccable, and we left full, satisfied, and not overly stuffed. This review is for the restaurant, since there isn't a location for the hotel.

We came from Bulle for a business meal and were all pleasantly surprised by the great service and amazing food. My beef steak with morel mushrooms was cooked perfectly. The server brought extra freshly cooked vegetables, then added more morel sauce to my meal later. Prices are typical for a nice meal in Switzerland. I'll definitely come back on my next trip to Switzerland!

We were cycling the Route 9 cycle trail and stayed here for one night. The room was clean and comfortable, and the food was good. The owner and staff made us feel welcome and were helpful. There's secure bike storage, and you can even boil your own eggs at breakfast!

The french style breakfast was amazing, and there's even a playground for the kids. Beautiful views and wonderful service too. Loved this place, and I recommend the hotel.

The rooms are peaceful, and the home-cooked food was flawless. I've never had a better breakfast. Maybe I never will, but I have to go back!
