Hotel Bad Murtensee

The staff were the highlight, though the rooms, food, and views were all very good too. I spent three nights here for a corporate management meeting and couldn’t find much to fault. It has room to cater for everything a group needs, while still giving guests attentive, personal service. I’d gladly recommend it if you’re in the area.

The setting is a big part of the appeal. You can head out from the hotel for a lovely walk or run, or take a refreshing swim in Murtensee. It also seems well suited to a seminar or management meeting, as well as a relaxing stay. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are welcoming, and there’s good food with plenty of options for different diets. I’d definitely recommend it.

The breakfast room and bar both look out onto peaceful, lake scenery, with a really calm feel. The coffee was outstanding, and the staff were friendly and professional. It’s a charming family-run hotel, with two generations working hard to make every guest’s stay feel special.

Being right beside the lake, with a bistro where you can enjoy a drink and the scenery, made this a lovely choice. The historic town is close enough to reach on foot, too. The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly, and the food phenomenal. If you’re after good meals and a peaceful, beautiful setting, this was the best option in Murten.
