The rooms have a kettle, fridge, and Nespresso machine. There were two capsules on the first day, but they weren’t replaced. The air conditioning worked well, and the soundproofing is remarkable: you can’t hear the trains going right past the window. The area felt safe and lively well into the evening. Sleep itself wasn’t great, though, because the room couldn’t be made fully dark and the bed was narrow. The hotel has a stylish, high-quality feel despite being low-frills. You rarely need to contact staff, but someone was there each morning for questions, and the team were exceptionally warm and thoughtful in German and English. We received the Ticino Ticket by email a few days before arrival. The website gave misleading information about some services, most of which turned out to be incorrect or only available by chance through another hotel in the chain.

I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels in Switzerland, and this is honestly one of the best I’ve come across. It’s worth the money. The design is modern and beautiful, with style and care down to the smallest details. The rooms are on the small side, but thoughtfully and practically arranged. Breakfast was high quality and healthy, which is rare in hotels, and served in a lovely room near the wine cellar. The staff sometimes seemed pressed for time because they also run a cafe on the ground level, but they were very attentive and focused on guests 😍.

We’d absolutely stay here again. The owner was so friendly and hospitable, and gave us great recommendations. The location is central but very quiet, and there’s no hotel parking, though we always found a space just outside. It costs by the hour, but the price is very affordable. Our room was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed and lovely decor. You can tell a lot of care went into the design. Breakfast was delicious every day, with lots of options.

The decor, location, and breakfast were all lovely, just as other reviewers said. Everything felt classy and convenient except our room. During a very warm spell in June, we were put in an attic room with inadequate air conditioning and windows that wouldn’t open. We had reserved a ground-floor room, but the otherwise pleasant manager on site never let us move there or got the air conditioning fixed enough to make the room comfortable for our 11-day stay. There was always a different explanation: we could adjust it ourselves (we couldn’t), it had been fixed (it hadn’t), the maid said it was working (it wasn’t), or someone outside the hotel had to adjust the temperature. Check carefully which room you’ve booked, and insist if they try to put you in an inferior one.
