Villa Rossella

Charlotte and Tindi are so lovely and made us feel at home. Our little one fell in love with them! The place is beautiful and right in the city centre. The rooms are brand new, very clean, and spacious enough when travelling with kids. Breakfast was great, and it’s very convenient being next to the train and bus station. We’ll definitely come back!

We asked for a place to eat, and the host suggested "movie- restaurant & tapas bar". It was a great recommendation. She was warm and welcoming, and let us check in after hours. The rooms were very clean and finished to a high standard. Thank you, we'd happily recommend it.

The room had several problems: the plugs didn't work, the dispensers and handle were broken, and the floor hadn't been fully cleaned. When we raised this at checkout, reception said we'd get a refund for the inconvenience, and the hotel manager agreed. After we left, though, the manager changed his mind. We had a really bad experience with how this was handled. There are other hotels nearby in the same category that cost less and offer the same thing. If you have a problem with your room or the hotel, you may not find a solution. I'd try somewhere else if you want to be treated fairly.

Charlotte, the host, was the best part for us. She's local, really accommodating, and gave us helpful information about hiking and other outdoor activities, plus a recommendation for Grotto Raffael. The place was super clean, everything was brand new, and it was very quiet at night. Breakfast was superb, too. It's just a two minute walk from the train station, major bus stops, and the gondola up the mountain. I'd recommend staying here for a few days in Locarno.
