I’d avoid this place. I booked Senevita through Booking.com in December 2024 for a four-night stay in July 2025 and paid in advance. After keeping the reservation for more than seven months, they cancelled it by automated email just one week before arrival. That left me only days to find somewhere else in a Swiss capital during the Euros, which was upsetting and likely much more expensive. They said they had arranged a room at their partner property, Senevita Dorfmatt, but I never received a confirmation. I emailed that property myself and got no reply. When I asked Senevita what was happening, the responses were slow, and they gave no explanation beyond saying it was a “double booking.” I don’t understand how that could happen with a booking made so far ahead, or why I was the one who lost the room. I was also told to contact Booking.com for help, which felt rude and shifted responsibility onto them, despite Senevita having claimed they’d found me an alternative. There was no apology for the disruption or extra cost. I suspect they cancelled at the last minute to charge higher prices during the Euros, though I can’t know for sure. The whole experience left me questioning the integrity and morality of those in charge. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. You could be left without a booking at short notice.

The residence’s peaceful location is a real plus, and public transport is close by. There’s also covered, direct access to several places for everyday shopping, including a doctor, dentist, physiotherapy practice, pharmacy and hairdresser. I’ve got to know and appreciate Senevita Residence Multengut through regular visits to my partner. It feels welcoming as soon as you arrive, and the whole place is inviting and very well kept. Staff are consistently friendly, committed, capable and respectful. I always enjoy seeing them. There’s plenty to do, too: concerts, talks, films, a library, fitness room, gymnastics and Pilates classes, plus games, singing and painting. The kitchen team serves residents varied, tasty meals every day and takes their wishes into account. Le Plaisir, the public restaurant, is also lively and welcoming. I’m fully convinced that Senevita Residence Multengut offers the best quality of life in old age.

Since the new management team started at Spitex in spring 2024, things have got a lot better. Families get better information, the nursing staff seem more motivated, and when a caregiver is away, they find a replacement quickly. The IT department is still a real problem, though. I can’t believe how often I’m told a service appointment can’t be arranged because the system has crashed.

We were very happy with our two-night stay. The place is surrounded by birdsong, and there’s a lovely park with walking and cycling paths about 800-900 meters downhill. Getting around was easy: tram number 6 is convenient, and the hotel residence is only a 3-4 minute walk from the stop. Our room was airy, spacious and practical. Everything was clean, including the bathroom, and the kitchen appliances from the fridge to the oven all worked. The TV was large and good quality. The balcony was especially useful, with plenty of space and a table and chairs. I’d definitely recommend it.

We’ve found Multengut Residence to be a welcoming, dependable place for our family over the last year and a half. It’s well run, with dedicated and empathetic staff, a pleasant atmosphere and a good range of activities. The food is above average, too. Thanks to everyone who helps make it this way.
