I was there in summer 2020. It was quiet and pleasant, and the view was amazing. A bit sad that the swimming pool has been removed. The fitness center could be a nice idea too, if it weren’t closed. The houses are clean and good, and there’s lots to do in the area.

I spent a lovely, peaceful week in a chalet starting May 31, 2019. Yet Google Maps kept saying the place was permanently closed and spreading misinformation. It has since corrected that. Tschuggen is a village, not a holiday rental agency, and an entire village can’t be permanently closed or have specific opening hours. I had another wonderful stay from October 21 to 28, 2019, and Google has since corrected its opening-hours information too. I kept returning every year through 2023.

A dream, really. You can watch the sunsets from the chalet, sleep peacefully without traffic noise or après-ski music, then put your skis on the next morning and head straight to a small but excellent ski area.
