Ferien - & Seminarhotel Chäseren

The owners were wonderful and went out of their way to look after us. We stayed one night during our Europe vacation and loved the quiet, rural setting in the farming community. It was such a refreshing place to relax for a day, and the food was delicious. I’d recommend it for a peaceful getaway.

The food was excellent, made with fresh ingredients and cooked in a homey style with a little twist. The people were lovely, the service was great, and the surroundings were beautiful. I have nothing bad to say about the place.

The restaurant was a real highlight, with simple local dishes cooked with care and local beers and ciders, including alcohol-free options. Breakfast was a feast of regional produce, with delicious yogurt, cheese, fresh bread, and coffee that set me up for the day. I stayed in May, when the weather was already good for hikes. My room was large and comfortable, with an en suite bathroom and a view over green fields where cows were grazing. At night, you can see the stars and hear the cowbells. It’s a family-run hotel in beautiful countryside, with kind, helpful people. Respect the reserved Swiss culture, try a few words of German, and settle into the relaxed pace of country life. Thank you!

We had no trouble communicating in English. The food was great, portions were generous for the fair price, and the atmosphere was nice. The rooms are a moderate size and good for the price. I’d highly recommend it.
