2/10
The room was so dusty and dirty that we had to keep our shoes on. We were charged extra for a bed for our 11-month-old, but the room had bunk beds and a single bed, so there was no proper double bed or baby bed despite the extra fee. We travel quite a lot and have never had anyone count a baby under one as an adult. The kitchen was practically nonexistent, very old, and had no dishwasher. In the end, we couldn’t sleep there because we didn’t feel comfortable.

Our little chalet room was quaint and comfortable, with fresh coffee and spring water available. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, ideal for getting away from the hustle and bustle.

The cabins are cozy and set apart like little houses in a neighborhood. The bathrooms are a bit of a walk from them. It’s also far enough from the city that we could see the Milky Way. We had a great time and I’d go back.

A really cozy place to stay in the Appenzeller region.

The owner was very friendly, and the shared kitchen made it handy to cook meals. For a one-night stay, it’s good value. The bathroom, toilet, and shower are in another building about 20 meters away, though they’re quite clean.
