Right in the middle of Nendaz, the self-contained accommodation made a great base. Restaurants, bars, cafes, supermarkets and equipment hire shops are all close by, as are the slopes and outdoor activities.

For a quiet night, I’d aim to stay Friday through Tuesday and leave on Wednesday. The town gets very noisy for its local festival on Wednesday and Thursday. The road here is narrow and winding, too.

We emailed several times asking how to handle a late arrival and where to park, but nobody replied. We couldn’t get in touch with the staff.

My son and I have been trying for more than two weeks to get in touch about our reservation, through email and the website’s own “contact us” form. There’s been no response, and we’re close to making a plan B. We haven’t even arrived yet, and based on communication alone, this is a zero. If they do contact us, I’ll update the rating. 😗

It’s a small, beautiful village on the French border, but not especially central. This area is worth exploring if you’re into skiing or hiking. You’ll need your own car or other transport, since there are no buses from the train station late in the evening.
