Beau Rivage Hotel

We stopped by the restaurant on 31.12.2025 for croissants, coffee, and beer, and everything was outstanding. The elegant interior and lovely lake views made the visit special, while the drinks and service were both excellent. The whole property has a sophisticated, charming feel. We stayed here in 2023 too, and that visit was just as memorable. It’s been consistently refined and high quality both times.

I heard about a disturbing incident at Beau-Rivage Hotel in Neuchâtel and found it deeply upsetting. An Arab father arrived with his two young children because they urgently needed a restroom. A male staff member reportedly refused to let them in and told them to leave, even after the father explained the children were in distress. The response was harsh and dismissive, and fell far short of what I’d expect from a five-star hotel. No child should be turned away from a restroom in an emergency, and no parent should be treated so coldly. To me, this points to a serious lack of compassion, professionalism, and cultural respect. I hope management looks into what happened and makes sure it doesn’t happen again. Incidents like this hurt the reputation of Swiss hospitality and show that some staff need more training in empathy and basic courtesy.

It was quiet and clean, with friendly staff and excellent service. We’d definitely come back. The downsides were the lack of free private parking and a really strong air freshener smell in the room, which could bother anyone sensitive to scents.

The staff made our wedding day the best ever. They treated me, my family, and our friends like royalty, and the service was excellent. The menus were to die for, and the bar was wonderful. It’s a very family-friendly place too. Huge kudos to Ivan Sylvestre and Sébastien Dubos, a fabulous dream team for wedding planning.
