The hotel is clean, but the rooms are so minimalist they’re inconvenient. There’s no kettle, utensils, or appliances, so making even a small snack is nearly impossible. Breakfast was disappointing too: limited, not fresh, and the coffee had almost no flavor. Hotel AVA in Sempach Station is very remote, far from the city and nearby towns, with no supermarket, café, or basic amenities close by. You’ll need a car for anything beyond the hotel, as it isn’t pedestrian-friendly. For the price and location, I wouldn’t recommend it for a stay in the Sempach area unless location doesn’t matter to you. It felt like a two-star experience.

The receptionist was welcoming and hilarious, and the customer service was excellent. I was also impressed that the cleaning staff folded my pajamas on the bed. The hotel was very clean and modern, and I loved the shower so much I wanted to use it several times a day. It’s right in front of the train station, yet surprisingly quiet, with Lucerne only 25 minutes away by train. Thanks for going above and beyond. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

George was extremely polite, friendly, and welcoming during our two-night stay. The two women working in the breakfast area were also very accommodating and eager to help. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is spotless, with spacious, modern rooms, and it’s very close to the train station. Just get a ticket and you’re on your way. I’d definitely recommend it.

Breakfast was excellent, with a nice selection of breads and fruit. The location works well if you’re using buses or trains, but otherwise there’s only a local pizza place within easy walking distance. I was also surprised that parking cost extra.

The rooms were clean and fresh, and the balconies were a nice place to sit with a drink undisturbed. George was the best, not just because he’s from Greece, which is a bonus for me, but because he understands how a receptionist, barman, and so on should treat customers. Best hotel I’ve stayed at in Switzerland, with the best reception team. All the best to you. Next time, you’ll be my first choice!
