Victoria was so patient and friendly while our group of six couples took over the main living room before dinner. She also helped us sort out dinner for twelve. The food was excellent, though a few courses took a while since the dining room was quite full. We had clean, comfortable rooms, and breakfast had a good range of choices for everyone. There was snow on the ground and more blowing around, which made for a lovely atmosphere, but fog meant we couldn't really judge the view. A sauna would be a welcome addition in the colder months. We stayed last weekend for our annual getaway, and got lucky with the snow.

The Jackfruit Burger with sweet potato fries and the Red Lentil Dal were both really tasty. Service was friendly and professional, too. We stopped in for lunch after a dog walk, and on a clear day the view is superb. We've eaten here plenty of times and plan to keep coming back. Nothing to complain about.

The Hackbraten was described as a Swiss and German meatloaf, usually made with ground beef and pork. In the Swiss version, soaked bread or breadcrumbs and eggs help keep it moist, while onions, garlic, and herbs season it. It's oven-roasted until browned. The restaurant has a pleasant view, though it isn't spectacular.

The food was mostly very good, though a couple of courses were more heavily spiced, peppery or hot, than I like. We stayed one night and were pleasantly surprised by both the room and the view.

The soup and salad were gluten free, too. I came for the restaurant, and the view over Solothurn and the surrounding area was amazing.
