Hotel Rosatsch

The personal involvement of the hotel manager Ralph helped make our stay unforgettable. The team was friendly and attentive, the spa spotless, and both the food and service were excellent. From the moment we arrived, the care and warmth felt genuine and everything seemed thoughtfully planned.

We found this to be a very good old hotel, with large rooms, comfortable beds, cleanliness all around, and staff who responded quickly. There was even a day pack in the room for hiking, a thoughtful touch, though we didn't use it. Breakfast was included in our rate and very good, with quality ingredients. We also ate at the restaurant, where everything we ordered tasted delicious, though the portions were a bit small. The courtesy ride to and from the station was really helpful. Just let them know beforehand.

We liked the spa and pool, and both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were very good. Our double room was very spacious, with a sofa and a separate shower and toilet off the hallway. Our daughter's single room was a good size for one person too.

The hiking poles available to borrow each day were a nice bonus, and meant I didn't have to check a bag on the plane. I also enjoyed the lovely warm pool, though adding a hot tub would be nice. Breakfast was quite good, but after a couple of days I was ready for a change. Freshly baked waffles or pastries would liven it up. I booked six nights at the last minute and I'm glad I did. The room was spacious, the bed super comfortable, and the terrace had a beautiful view. Staff were kind and accommodating. There is a construction site right across the street, which does affect the atmosphere. Work stops on weekends, but on weekdays they work later than they do in the US. I hope it wraps up before too long for the hotel's and future guests' sake. I'd definitely consider Hotel Rosatsch again when I return to Pontresina.
