The staff made the stay, they were welcoming, professional and kind, and the service was outstanding. Breakfast was fantastic too, and lunch at the restaurant was just as impressive. I had a wonderful time. My room was spotless and comfortable, with an exceptional bed and excellent amenities. Being connected to AquaBasel made it even better, and I’d recommend spending some time there. I’ll definitely be back.

Horrible! There was no service at all, like everywhere in Switzerland. No value for money whatsoever. The room had no amenities, and access to the hotel pool cost 3 euros. The location was terrible, in a dangerous village at the edge of the earth.

For almost ten years I’ve charged my Tesla here and often bought sweets and chocolate during my stops. Today I was told, very rudely, that I couldn’t use the toilet. If charging customers aren’t allowed to use it anymore, they should put up a clear sign. I won’t be back.

Antonio and Nicole at the front desk made our Basel stay flawless, and we’re already looking forward to returning. We’ve stayed at Courtyard properties around the world as Marriott Bonvoy Platinum members, but this one really stood out. Nicole was kind, efficient and always ready to help with a smile. She anticipated what we needed and quickly fixed an issue we had. Antonio was warm and professional, and spoke English, French, Italian, German and Spanish with ease. His attention to detail made us feel welcome right away. From check-in to check-out, everything went perfectly. Together they delivered personal, polished and heartfelt service worthy of the Marriott Platinum experience. Thank you, Antonio and Nicole.

I’ve spent more than 800 nights at Marriott properties around the world, including in Switzerland, and this is the first one that hasn’t offered free breakfast to Marriott elite members. That benefit was why I chose this hotel and paid the higher price.
