This listing is published as an Airbnb apartment, but it isn't an apartment, just a room in a really disgusting motel. One door away, in the same building, there's a room where people can pay for s***, with pictures of woman. The sheets were old, used, and dirty. The floor and kitchen were dirty too, there was hair and old food in the fridge, and the room had marks that looked like mold or cracks. I'd be ashamed to advertise it using old pictures and charge for it. Hopefully we wouldn't get scabies or monkeypo. Update: lucky us, we didn't. This is edited again because it was deleted due to the pictures.

The bed was nice, and the price was only 80 euros, but everything else was dirty or broken. The hairdryer didn't work, the carpet was dirty, and I can't even describe the toilet, it was more brown than white. I didn't try the shower. There was no atmosphere at all. I needed somewhere to sleep while passing through, but there wasn't really a reception, just a phone number to call for the room key. Really don't recommend this hotel.

I picked this place for its proximity to the Z7 concert venue. The room was dry, and the bedding and towels were clean, but at 98CHF it wasn't worth the price. The furniture was old and damaged, paint was peeling from the walls and radiators, and the lamps were broken. It was a depressing room that badly needed renovation. Breakfast cost another 15CHF for bread, juice, coffee, and yoghurt, and that was overpriced and below standard too. I've stayed in cheap and cheerful hotels before, and I'm no snob, but this place was expensive and very poor.

The host, Frau Julia, was extremely helpful. We lost a lot of time in a traffic jam near Gottard Pass, and she arranged everything, including putting the keys in a minisafe, so we could get a proper rest. It was based on mutual trust, and it worked. Prima! The location was good for Basel and the highway, easy to reach, quiet with our southern-facing windows, and had a huge parking area. The beds felt fragile, though, and for Switzerland I expected a tidier room. There was too much dust in some visible places.

The room, corridors, and surroundings were really dirty. For the quality on offer, it was far too expensive. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, and I travel a lot.
