A really good place to spend a few days in winter.

The people were helpful, and the area has a lovely feel, with two lakes, one halfway up and another at the top. From the rooms, you can walk to the top, though it’s a tiring climb, or take the cable car for a fee. You also have to pay for the ride down. There are rental apartments like the one I stayed in, local restaurants, and a grocery store. Keep in mind that shops shut at 5 PM and the cable cars stop at 11 PM. The apartments are high up the mountain, where cars can’t reach. You have to leave your car in paid parking and take the cable car up, which costs about 9-11 Swiss francs or the equivalent. Getting around means either a tiring walk or a bus costing 6 francs per person.
