The upstairs common room has a piano, and the self-serve check-in and checkout via a basement lockbox works well. This simple chambre d’hôte is also a handy base for exploring the beautiful Jura area of Switzerland, right beside the medieval priory and the even older church that the ancient town grew around. Breakfast is available, though I’d rather get coffee and pastries at Fleur de Farine. Across the road there’s a microbrewery, a pub with friendly locals, and good food at Chez Magli.

The beds were really comfortable, and the place has plenty of character. It’s on the main street, with a deal at the restaurant across the road that you might want to ask about. Check-in is self-service, though the owner gets in touch when you arrive. I enjoyed my stay and would happily come back.

The breakfast was delicious, and it was so convenient for the concert at the abbey. I had a wonderful stay.

Musicians will love the beautiful grand piano on the top floor. The guesthouse is very nice, and the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated.
