Noah Hotel

A really nice place to stay.

This is the best hotel.

The building was beautiful and the day staff were lovely, but the stay fell far short of what we expected from a five-star boutique hotel. Booking and communication were difficult from the beginning, and after 5 p.m. there was no staff or useful help available. For two nights in a row we had no hot water, and the water was orange-brown and discoloured. We were told we could move rooms, but only for an extra charge, which felt inappropriate given the problem. The room also seemed poorly cared for. The bed hadn’t been properly made, and two pillows looked creased and grubby. One evening the whole property smelled strongly of gas. With the possible safety concern, we expected someone to respond quickly, but nobody was there to deal with it. When we texted the owner politely about these issues, the reply was defensive and confrontational instead of focused on fixing things. We left a day early. The stay was marked by maintenance problems, no service when needed, questionable cleanliness, and rude, dismissive management. A boutique hotel should offer comfort, attention, and professionalism. I’d advise anyone considering it to read reviews carefully rather than rely on the five-star description.

We were pleased with our stay and would book again next time. The staff were friendly, and both the room and bathroom had a good amount of space. There was also a little kitchen in the room and a balcony. Everything, inside and out, was very clean. The hotel is on the edge of town, so it was quiet and a lovely place to relax. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, with everything we needed. We were especially happy with the coffee choices from the fully automatic machine, which also made hot chocolate and milk. It left nothing to be desired.
