Hotel Christiania

A really lovely hotel in central Saas-Fee, within reach of all the amenities. Our room was large and spotless, and all the staff were friendly. The breakfast buffet was lovely too.

A great Chinese/Thai place on the ground floor, and we went twice. The staff were amazingly friendly and helped me out when avalanches meant I had to stay an extra night. They picked me up and dropped me off at the bus stop, and the lifts are a three-minute walk away. I got a great top-floor room with an awesome view and a big bathtub. The facilities were amazing too, including a massage chair, steam room, sauna, code bath, and showers.

We were there on 09.11. The hotel itself is nice, and breakfast was good in a nicely renovated room. But on our last day, they left us without any help getting our luggage back to the parking. Nobody was at reception or answered the phone. We had a lot of luggage and skis, and had to call a taxi ourselves. It took an hour to arrive. They should at least have told us and offered a solution.

It's handy to have supper at the hotel three times during the week, especially since getting a restaurant table can be difficult in high season. The hotel is family-run, clean, and well kept, and the owners are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. It's right in the center of Saas-Fee village, about 200 meters from the cable cars.
