Amethyst Saas-grund in Saas-grund

Golda and her husband were warm hosts, full of good stories and ready to help with extra needs. They even lent us a sturdy screwdriver to adjust our ski bindings. The place is a great base for exploring the Saas Valley and its outdoor activities, with a bus stop nearby and frequent buses to the other villages in high season. Our accommodation was clean and warm, and half board made everything easy. Dinner was excellent, with a varied, filling menu.

The room had lovely views, and the location was great. I was very well looked after by a kind and helpful host. Breakfast was good, dinner was delicious, and the food overall was top quality. Would absolutely recommend.

We had a relaxing stay at Pension Heino after long days in the mountains. Breakfast was enjoyable, and they also serve dinner. Set in the heart of the Valais Alps, it works well both for alpinists looking for an approach and for anyone who loves being out in nature.

Our kids have been going to ski school here for the past 3-4 years. They remember their instructors, and the instructors remember them too. That's one of the lovely things about a small resort. Heino has become a favorite for us. We've stayed three times and plan to return. It's easy and comfortable, with everything clean and no fuss. My husband and I were glad it felt like a proper holiday because we didn't have to cook or clean as we would in an Airbnb. The family package is great value. Hohsaas is always wonderful for skiing, and even when it's busy, people spread out across the mountain. Saas Grund Gondola is a five-minute walk away. The special deal through Heino also lets us go up to Saas Fee, just a seven-minute bus ride from outside the hotel to the gondola station. We love it here and highly recommend both Heino and skiing in Saas Grund.
