That SaastalCard was a real plus for getting around, since it covered buses and almost all the lifts around Saas-Fee. We also appreciated how quiet the building was at night, with the nearby stream making a relaxing sound. The studio was small but cozy, spotless, and well cared for, though the decor and equipment felt a little dated apart from the renovated bathroom. It took about ten minutes to walk to the town centre and the Saas-Grund - Kreuzboden Gondelbahn. Ms. Imseng was very helpful and kindly let us arrive late after our journey was delayed. She speaks German only, but understood my basic German well enough for us to sort everything out. We stayed two nights and got what we expected. The 45 CHF cleaning fee is part of the total, so it makes the nightly cost much lower if you stay longer. There was no Wi-Fi, which can be inconvenient for EU visitors because Swiss mobile data is often expensive and EU roaming rules generally don't apply. We had some data in an emergency Swiss package and could check the weather while hiking and climbing, so it wasn't a big problem for us, but it's useful to know.
