Haus Pickelschmiede

The good location was about the only upside. We rented ground-floor apartment N1 for six people at the end of 2023, and it was far too cramped. The sofa bed took up over half the living and dining area, the kitchenette was run-down and lacked equipment for six, and there were no bedside lamps. The bathroom was tiny, had no towel hooks, and smelled of stagnant water. The second bedroom felt dated and had a sink for some reason. The main bedroom was especially bad for noise: it was poorly insulated from apartment N2, with only a locked connecting door between them. We could hear the neighbors trying the door, using the toilet and shower, talking, and partying. I have a video, though Google Reviews doesn’t support it. This isn’t a place for a family or anyone hoping for a relaxing holiday. The price was incredibly high, and everything besides the location needs a complete overhaul. They should stop renting it out and ripping off tourists. The concierge was nice, but the owner never came by. I hope he reads this. I can’t understand how the Swiss Tourism Association and Saas-Fee Salestal Tourism rate it a 3-star Holiday Comfort Apartment. Aren’t they ashamed?
