Our room was 102, and beware of bedbugs! Since getting home, we’ve had a nightmare trying to get rid of them from our clothes and bags. The place does look modern and clean and has great facilities.

The room stank of cigarette smoke when I walked in. I called support straight away, but they did nothing to help and only told me to wait until the next day. The man on the phone was finishing his shift and didn’t want to make even a minimal effort to assist.

The location is a big plus, five minutes from the lake, close to EPFL, and well connected by bus and metro to Lausanne and Morges centre. This part of Lausanne isn’t crowded, so the buses are often half empty and there’s very little car traffic. The rooms are beautifully designed, kept tidy with cleaning once a week, and equipped like a real flat: kitchen, dishwasher, dish soap, hairdryer, TV, and washcloths changed weekly. The laundry room and private gym are great extras too. I’d recommend it for short stays or as a hotel, especially if you like being independent and want your room to feel like an actual flat. I had no trouble checking in. You have to send a photo of your ID before arrival, as stated when booking, then you get a door access code on the day and you’re set. The hotel can also email residency confirmation paperwork whenever needed. Mine arrived within 24 hours, no complaints there. Once during our stay the door malfunctioned, but after we emailed the company, a handyman fixed it the next day. No complaints about service. It may not suit you if you want someone at reception to help you settle in, or if bus sounds from the stop right in front of the hotel bother you. Cleaning staff often speak only French, but when we needed something, Google Translate helped us manage.

The wifi cuts out at random times.
