LARET private Boutique Hotel - Adults only

I loved skiing in Samnaun, even with the bad weather. When the sun's out, the border with Austria is spectacular. You can ski back to the hotel on a blue run, and it's ski-in; there's also a shuttle to the gondola, or the bus stops right outside. The logistics are perfect. The couple managing the place are so kind and attentive. You can tell they take care with everything, and it makes a real difference. My room was wow: private sauna, bathtub, walk-in closet, and everything felt beautiful, fragrant, and spacious. Dinner was excellent, with small, light, well-balanced portions. Breakfast isn't a huge spread, but the choices feel considered, and eggs are cooked fresh to order. This isn't just a hotel, it's an experience. I'll definitely come back one day. The calm at Hotel Laret and in Samnaun was exactly what we wanted, with Ischgl's lively après-ski, music, dancing, and party atmosphere close by whenever we felt like it. We stayed over New Year's in January, and it was unforgettable. Skiing in Samnaun and Ischgl can carry on well into May, so we hope to return. The hotel felt like a peaceful oasis in a remarkable alpine area. Getting to the lifts was easy: Christian drove us in the hotel van, and the cable car was only a few minutes away. After skiing, we could get almost back to the hotel on skis, ending near a small cow farm. We loved watching the calves calmly watch skiers go by, then walking a few minutes through the village to the hotel. We chose Hotel Laret after comparing options and deciding we wanted a quiet adults-only stay, good food, sustainability, restful sleep, a private spa, easy skiing, and an intimate alpine feel. It delivered on all of that. The adults-only setting was peaceful and relaxing, and we could reserve the whole spa for just the two of us, enjoying the Finnish and infrared saunas at our own pace. Dinner became the highlight of every day. The food was delicious, creative, and full of pleasant surprises. Christian and the team made outstanding dishes that paired refined flavors with local character. Cornelia was a warm, attentive host who truly cared about our comfort. We also valued the sustainability focus and local products, including regional cheeses, meat specialties, wine, and beer.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and both the rooms and shared facilities were lovely. The morning shuttle to the gondola made getting up the mountain easy. The location is also great, within walking distance of the nicest run down from the Ischgl/Samnaun ski area. I'd gladly stay again.
