The family owners were delightful, and the welcome made the whole stay feel easy. The food was fresh and delicious, while the simple accommodation was clean and comfortable. We set off on a hut-to-hut hike from Bellawiese, and this was my first stay in this kind of place. The setting was spectacular and easy to reach from Zurich by public transport. The hospitality was beyond superb. I'll be back.

We only stopped for a meal, but the food was delicious. We arrived quite late and the hosts were still happy to serve us. They were accommodating and helpful, knew the hiking routes well, and helped us sort out our routes and hire for the next day.

The host knows the area really well, and this is a great base for walking in summer or snowshoeing and tour skiing in winter. It's a stunning, not especially touristy part of Graubunden, on the road to Davos Klosters. Comfortable rooms and good food, all in all excellent.

Horrible host. We called ahead to explain that we were two families with kids. After we arrived, the owner seemed irritated and, a few minutes later, told us to keep the kids quiet after hearing them. We argued and left about 15 minutes after getting there, then went to the neighboring Gasthaus. They said we weren't the only guests to have this experience with a host they described as irrational and unfriendly to customers.
