We finally got our belongings from room 106 around 7:30 in the morning, after the breakfast lady and someone from housekeeping tried their cards and then came back with what looked like a charging device. The door opened with that. My daughter even had to point out that they had the cable upside down at first. By then we'd had very little sleep and spent the night in room 105, the supposed upgrade, with dust webs above the bed and a used bandaid on the floor. We had brought the duvet from room 109 because 105 also had only one. The second duvet in 109 had no cover. This all started when we arrived around 18:00h on January 6, 2026. Our first activated key was marked successful but wouldn't open room 106. A card from reception did open it, so we left our things and went to dinner at 19:00h. When we tried to return, the door made a strange noise and wouldn't open, with no light showing at all. More cards still opened the hallway door but not our room. We called the reception number from dinner and were told someone would come around 21:30h. Nobody did, so we called again. Phone instructions didn't help; we were told a technician was needed, then moved to room 109 and later 105. Our medication, sleepwear, charger and toiletries were locked in 106. We were told we'd get help around 6:30h, but at that time the breakfast lady said nobody was there before 7:00h, and she knew nothing about it. The lock itself failing can happen, but the issue was eventually fixed with a device already at the hotel, without a technician. This should have been handled that evening. We never got a sincere apology. A few days later customer service asked us to email the details, then didn't even reply. They take no responsibility, and we hope future guests are treated better if they risk staying here.
