I can’t give zero stars, so they get one. The restaurant woman refused to serve us a warm lunch because she wanted to close. Just before that, she’d told an elderly couple to hurry up and order. I’m glad my four-year-old son could have a chocolate brownie for lunch, since the restaurant lady was simply mean.

The restaurant service was perfect, and our server was really kind. The food was good too, though the Pizzocccheri and the cheese Rösti were both a bit too oily and cheesy for our taste. The location is one of a kind, and the views are breathtaking.

The chef put together beautifully balanced, delicious menus, and the room was beautiful with an incredible view. Thanks to Roland for an experience at the hotel that went well beyond what we expected, and to the whole team for taking such good care of us. There’s nowhere better to unwind and enjoy the beauty and calm of the Swiss Alps. We’ll definitely be back!

The staff made this small hotel in the car-free Fex Valley the best hotel experience of our whole road trip. They were friendly, helpful, and seemed genuinely interested in us. The beds were great too, with what might be the best views in the world. We stayed for two nights and loved the food, both breakfast and dinner. It was honest cooking with excellent ingredients and real passion. The homemade blueberry and apricot pies were especially stunning. We’ll definitely return to this fabulous place.
