The room let things down a little. It was small, and the bed was really uncomfortable. Still, the staff were kind, the breakfast buffet was excellent, and the restaurant serves delicious lunch and dinner. The hotel is ideally placed just a couple of minutes from the ski lift, practically ski-in/ski-out.
We found plenty to do nearby, from Silvaplanersee and the Corvatsch cable car station to little walking trails. The hotel has a cozy feel, and our family spent two nights there. We had cheese fondue and pasta for dinner one evening, and breakfast was generous, with fresh juice, bread and several kinds of ham.
Getting around was easy, with a shuttle right in front of the hotel and buses just three minutes away. There’s also a ski lift at the back of the restaurant, which is ideal for skiers. Everyone was really, really nice, including the restaurant staff, and all the food we tried there was delicious. We’ll definitely come back! :)
We’ll be back. The rooms were spacious and clean, the food was yummy, the staff friendly, and the facilities were great. The heated ski boot rack was a particular bonus. Wonderful location, highly recommended!
At the bottom of a ski slope, there’s a great sunny terrace for lunch. Leave your skis in the rack and grab a beer!
