Art Boutique Hotel Monopol

We were picked up in the hotel’s private van, and from there everything was easy. Art Hotel St. Moritz is right by the slopes and in the downtown area, so it worked well for both skiing and Apreski. The rooftop Skybar has a lovely view and good service. Thanks to everyone on the staff for making the trip such a good one.

The team was the best part of the stay, especially Sarah. Everyone seemed keen to make things go well, and they were quick to answer emails before and during our visit. The location is great, and the hotel and rooms are very nice. It isn't Badrutts or kulm, and by US standards I'd call it four star, but the people there are truly wonderful.

I appreciated how warm and professional the front desk and floor staff were. Unfortunately, the rest of my stay was overshadowed by a serious security concern: a pair of my Chanel shoes, size 37, disappeared from my room sometime between January 27th and 29th, at the end of January. I reported the loss right away, but management has not followed up in any serious way or taken responsibility. I expected better security and support from a hotel of this caliber. The friendly service can't make up for feeling that my belongings weren't safe and that management was indifferent to my concern. I no longer feel comfortable staying here, and can't recommend it unless the hotel takes guest concerns and security seriously.

We had a fantastic stay at Monopol, and the included breakfast had a wide selection. The restaurant was excellent as well. Staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful, and kindly upgraded us to a stylish, very nice room. The hotel is also ideally placed in St. Moritz, with the lake, shops, and restaurants all an easy walk away. Highly recommended.
