We spent three nights at Chesa Spoundas over Christmas and were absolutely delighted. We value St. Moritz as a community-minded destination that's friendly to families and pets, with polished but refreshingly unpretentious service. That's one reason we enjoy staying overnight, even though we have a country house not far from the Italian–Swiss border. The décor has lovely old-world charm, and the atmosphere felt warm and family-like. Breakfast was just right for us: delicious Swiss bread, good-quality yogurt, and granola. Omelettes were available for an extra charge, which seemed reasonable for the room rate. We'd definitely like to return to this lodge and its timeless character.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very satisfied. The hotel is warm and beautifully decorated, with thoughtful design details, quality food, and a kind host. It's near the center, and the included free transportation was a superb extra. Thank you for all the care and organization.

Even though the free-cancellation period had passed, they canceled our booking without a charge when I explained that our visa hadn't been processed. Their wonderful attitude means I'll book with them as soon as my visa is approved. I can't wait for a winter vacation in those lovely rooms.

They provide free public transport for the duration of your stay, which makes getting into St. Moritz easy. The building has the appeal of old architecture, but it's old without feeling neglected or like it's falling apart. A great place for a vacation.
