After a long day out, being able to get dinner at the hostel was a real plus. The receptionist was efficient and very helpful, and there’s a pleasant lounge with a family area and a kids’ playground. WC and showers are basic, which makes sense in an older building. If you’re driving, parking is available. It’s easy to get around because the bus stops right outside. I booked a quadruple room with breakfast, and it was solid value, especially for St. Moritz. For an early Glacier Express, it works well: arrive, spend half a day sightseeing in St. Moritz, get a comfortable night’s rest, have breakfast, and head to your train ready to go.

The room was okay, and breakfast had a very decent range of options. Sasha greeted us warmly, even though the nearby lake was frozen at the time. From the train station, bus 609 goes to the hostel every 30 minutes. If the weather is nice, you’re traveling light, and you enjoy walking, you can take the roughly 40-minute route around the lake anticlockwise. It gives you the best views of the town, valley, lake, and the Alps all around.

Rooms were basic but clean, and the staff were kind and friendly. The hotel’s at the end of the bus line, so it was easy to get to. It’s Switzerland, so things can feel a bit expensive. Breakfast was included in our booking, but we left before 07 and couldn’t have any.

I loved the breakfast, and there’s a paid dinner option too. Jugendherbergen has standard rooms with two single beds and mostly shared showers and toilets. We didn’t mind sharing, since they were always available and clean.

It was very clean, with a good choice at breakfast and really friendly staff. The location is lovely, right beside the big lake, and it’s an easy bus ride into St Moritz town center. Our two-night stay came with free cable car rides!
