Hotel Villa Post

The owner welcomed us like old friends, and was kind, attentive, and funny. After a car accident somewhere between the Swiss and Austrian border brought us back to Scuol, we arrived amid the chaos and found a hotel that felt almost unreal. Waking in the golden morning light, we even wondered for a moment if we had survived the crash and landed in heaven. We spent two days letting the quiet and the mountains help us recover from a rough time. The hotel felt full of care, and the restaurant served comforting food. Free public transport and cable car access came with the stay, a much-needed gift that let us see the town from different angles. It’s among the best hotels we’ve stayed at in Switzerland.

We never stayed overnight, but came back to the restaurant several times and really loved it. The owners are very friendly, and the food is good quality and good value, with pizzas alongside traditional regional Swiss dishes. There’s a fabulous terrace on the lawn outside. From Scuol centre, you can walk there, or take a pleasant path through the woods to Vulpera on foot or by bike. A must if you're in Scuol, 10/10.

The restaurant has tasty food and a lovely garden, and breakfast is included with the reservation. Our room was clean and comfortable, with an amazing view of the Scuol valley, and the service was really attentive. Prices felt very reasonable for a 4 star hotel. It's about a 20-minute walk from the station or a 3-minute bus ride, though the bus only runs once an hour. The hotel isn't in Scuol proper, but staying in this idyllic village in the woods was totally worth it for me. One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Switzerland.
