Dealing with the owner of this pension was a very unpleasant experience. I found her unkind and unprofessional, and communication was difficult. I've long known the Swiss for their courtesy and honesty, so it's disappointing that this woman leaves such a poor impression. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you expect reliability or basic decency.

Breakfast was generous and really good, served in a sunny room facing the garden. My room on the second floor was quiet and comfortable, with its own shower and WC, and I could also see the lovely garden from there. It has a duck pond with Koi fish, a BBQ area, a running spring, and lots of attractive plants. The Pension sits above Teufen, with a beautiful view across the valley to the Santis and the town below. We stayed for three days for a family celebration, and the hostess/owner was incredibly welcoming. A wonderful stay, and highly recommended near Appenzelle, St.Gallen, and the Santis.

The room under the roof had plenty of space for our family with kids. It was arranged as one large room with a double bed, a smaller room with two single beds, and a small, pleasant kitchen. From the window we had a magnificent morning view of the Säntis mountain. The pension was tidy and cosy, beautifully designed inside and out, and very close to the center of Teufen. The host was also very friendly. Our friends booked it for us, and it was a lovely room.
