We stayed for two nights. The service and location were good, but our room was horrible and very noisy. The curtains were damaged, so there wasn't much privacy, and the patio lights came on whenever a cat walked by. For the quality, the price wasn't worthwhile. I'd rather spend a little more on accommodation while staying in this pretty town.
The breakfast was a real highlight, with porridge, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, and different kinds of bread. Our room for three was spacious and full of distinctive furniture. The hotel sits right by the town hall square, around a 7-10 minute walk from the station. The owner was friendly and quick to respond before we arrived, and late-afternoon check-in was easy with the passcode. I'd stay here again if I return to Thun. Recommended.
The location is brilliant, and the room felt welcoming and was perfectly clean. The bed was super comfortable. I usually like having a private bathroom, but the shared facilities were so clean and always available that it felt much the same. I arrived outside the usual hours and, as arranged, got the door code and found my room key and Wi-Fi password. Communication before the trip was friendly and professional. Breakfast was prepared and served with so much care. I'm not usually much of a breakfast person, but I really enjoyed it.
The staff were really friendly, and the location worked well: Thun station is about a 10-minute walk or 3 minutes by bus. I booked a double room with a shared bathroom for three nights. Would recommend this place :)
A quirky, lovely hotel, and the room came with the best breakfast I had on my trip. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and the hotel is just below Thun castle. The train and boat stations are both within walking distance.
