Frohe Aussicht Uznach

The views were amazing, and the people in the area were incredibly warm and kind. We had a wonderful stay, with friendly, welcoming staff and delicious local cheeses and meats at breakfast. One evening, we joined the live folk music at the restaurant while lots of locals danced. It was such a pleasure, and a truly authentic experience. The spa is open every day from 10:00 to 23:00, perfect for relaxing after a hike. There’s also a ping pong table you can use. The hotel is in a great spot for local hiking trails, away from tourist crowds, and prices are very fair. A bus stops right by the hotel every 30 minutes and goes to the train station. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay with warm hospitality!

The view is a great match for the restaurant, and on my two visits I’ve loved both the food and the service. Try the seasonal dishes. We went during venison season recently and really enjoyed it. If you’re unsure what to get, ask your server for a suggestion. And book ahead if you want a covered table by the window.

We came across this restaurant by chance and loved the food. My grilled chicken with vegetables was so nicely cooked that I won’t forget it. The valley view is beautiful, the service was kind, and there’s free parking in front. Inside has a homey feel. I’d highly recommend a visit, the food is a real treat.

The hospitality and food were fantastic, and the view is incredible. I’ll definitely be back often, especially in the Fall, when they serve wild game brought directly by hunters in the region.
