Hôtel de Verbier SUP

The staff were very nice, but we still wouldn’t return, even for drinks. We booked this four-star hotel excited to visit Verbier. It’s centrally located, down the hill from Medran, but offers no service for guests arriving by gondola. It’s a small boutique hotel, and unfortunately they wouldn’t give us a room in the main building. Our designated ski locker was broken: it wouldn’t lock even after we showed management, and it didn’t blow warm air. There was little guidance on how the bus works or where to find the ski lifts, which we’d expect from a four-star hotel. There’s no service from 11 pm until early morning. Restaurant recommendations were limited, and I believe many places on the sheet they gave me were closed. They offered to book restaurants but mostly did so online. They said they couldn’t get me a reservation, but I managed to make one myself with a long-distance call on my cell phone. They can book taxis, but a five-minute ride cost almost 25 CHF. They saw that I had a leg brace after a skiing accident and didn’t offer much help. Breakfast was decent, though there wasn’t much variety.

We had a great time and would definitely return. The location is convenient, the rooms are beautifully designed, the team and service are amazing, and breakfast was great. The team kindly upgraded us and, since we were celebrating a birthday, left a little chocolate in the room.

From arrival right through to departure, everything was perfect. The staff were super friendly, the amenities were great, including the spa, and the food was very good. We’ll definitely come back.

The room was somewhat noisy because of the hotel’s central location, with a lot of street noise in the middle of the night. Once we closed the windows, it was quiet. We enjoyed our stay, the hotel has a nice design throughout, and the staff offered breakfast an hour earlier for the event runners. There was a great selection at breakfast.
