The chalet was lovely, clean, warm, and cozy, with absolutely breathtaking views. I stayed there with my family last week and had been nervous about a review mentioning mice, but we didn’t experience anything like that. One thing for winter visitors: if it snows heavily on the road from le chable to the chalet, you’ll need snow chains.

We had a great vacation, and the house is beautifully located and well equipped. But it was teeming with mice. Droppings were all over the kitchen and on the sofa when we unfolded it. There were traps in several rooms and poison bait laid out. The landlord probably knew about the problem but didn’t tell us. We had two small children with us, and mouse droppings certainly aren’t healthy. They can transmit Hantavirus to humans, which can cause serious illness. The entire kitchen must be dismantled and disposed of.

This beautifully restored chalet is just a stone's throw from Verbier in Switzerland. I’d highly recommend it for a ski vacation.
